LINE UP FOR PARADE BY 8:30 AM
- 7:30 am – Team Captain Check In begins. For those who did not pick up shirts in advance at the DSN Enrichment Center.
- 8:30 am – All walkers check in with their team captain and meet at the “staging area” near Myrtle Ave. at University
- 9:00 am – Walk / ASU Homecoming Parade starts. 1/2 mile walk from Forest Ave. to McAllister on University Dr.
- 9:30 am – 11:00 pm – Enjoy ASU Block Party. Information tables, free lunch from Chili’s and 321 Rodeo games and activities.
- 11:00 am – ASU Homecoming Game Kick Off (Block Party Over)
SHIRTS & PRIZES: Team Captains Pick up shirts, calendars and prizes in advance at the DSN Enrichment Center on Thu, Nov 13 or Fri, Nov 14 from 10 am-2 pm. If you can’t pick up items in advance, you can pick them up the day of the event starting at 7:30am at the DSN Block Party Tent near McAllister (see map below).
PARADE START TIME: Team Captains meet their Walkers at the parade line starting at 8:30am. ALL Walkers check in with their Team Captains (not the DSN table). The parade starts at 9:00am and the DSN block party ends at 11am – kickoff game time.
PARKING: The nearest parking garage to the DSN tent (located near McAllister Street and the ASU Walking Bridge) is the Tyler Street Structure. The nearest parking garage to the parade start is the Myrtle Avenue parking structure. Please note that University is barricaded from Rural to Mill. All ASU parking is FREE – SOUTH of University Drive until 12PM (see map below).
THEME: You are welcome to dress in any Western-themed attire. We encourage you to create signs for your team and decorate your wagons and strollers.
WEATHER: Dress is layers. Put your walk shirt over long sleeves and sweaters if possible. The morning will be chilly and then warm up as the day goes on. Forecast: Sunny 50 low and 75 high.
