DESCRIPTION:Chair Tai Chi combines Qigong and Tai Chi practices that are either fully or mostly seated in a chair.  During each session we move the body in all directions with gentle\, sometimes playful\, and sometimes meditative\, movement.  This class is accessible to anyone who can sit in a chair and is enjoyed by participants of all ages. Benefits are: fun\, socialization\, strengthening and lubricating joints\, improved core strength\, and stress release. \nRegister for Chair Tai Chi  \n8 week session – Thursdays 6-7PM \n$35 for entire session (scholarships available) \nHeidi’s Bio: \nHeidi Nechtman is an accessible yoga and Tai Chi teacher\, yoga therapist\, and founder of Perfectly Imperfect Yoga\, dedicated to making wellness accessible for those who feel sidelined or unable to access wellness practices through traditional spaces. She aims to empower individuals of all ages\, especially older adults and those with chronic conditions\, to practice yoga and Tai Chi. She does this because her personal practice has helped her through stressful times\, illnesses\, and grief.  She hopes that others can benefit as much as she has.

DESCRIPTION:Chair Tai Chi combines Qigong and Tai Chi practices that are either fully or mostly seated in a chair.  During each session we move the body in all directions with gentle\, sometimes playful\, and sometimes meditative\, movement.  This class is accessible to anyone who can sit in a chair and is enjoyed by participants of all ages. Benefits are: fun\, socialization\, strengthening and lubricating joints\, improved core strength\, and stress release. \nRegister for Chair Tai Chi  \n8 week session – Thursdays 6-7PM \n$35 for entire session (scholarships available) \nHeidi’s Bio: \nHeidi Nechtman is an accessible yoga and Tai Chi teacher\, yoga therapist\, and founder of Perfectly Imperfect Yoga\, dedicated to making wellness accessible for those who feel sidelined or unable to access wellness practices through traditional spaces. She aims to empower individuals of all ages\, especially older adults and those with chronic conditions\, to practice yoga and Tai Chi. She does this because her personal practice has helped her through stressful times\, illnesses\, and grief.  She hopes that others can benefit as much as she has.
