East Valley & North Valley Tweens & Teens CAN!
a program of DSNetwork for Tweens and Teens with Down syndrome (Ages 8-18 only)

Except for January, the Group Meets the 2nd Saturday of the Month (except no meetings in March, October or December)

Time: 2 – 4 pm

Upcoming dates/activities in 2018 for East Valley & North Valley Tweens & Teens CAN group:

JANUARY 20th | Group Outing to Arizona Museum of Natural History in Mesa for dinosaur themed fun!
2 pm drop-off at AzMNH | 4 pm pick-up at AzMNH) 

Take a trip back in time and walk with the dinosaurs.  Join us at the Museum of Natural History to learn about ancient archaeology, paleontology and view a variety of collections ranging from ancient art to geology.  We will be offering a structured tour of the museum, with open ended opportunities to learn and explore. Tweens and Teens can dig for dinosaur bones and fossils, sure to capture their interest and inspire them!

REGISTRATION is required.
Space is Limited. Registration deadline is the Monday prior to the group meeting.

Cost (non-refundable):
$15 p/meeting

Activities incorporates topics such as:

  • Building relationships and friendships
  • A to Z basics on social skills, table manners, proper etiquette
  • Community awareness and outreach
  • Job Skills training in community establishments
  • Team Building Activities
  • Cooking / Activities of daily living
  • Group Outings and so much more

(If child has behaviors, toileting/feeding difficulty, please have an assistant/habitation/respite provider attend)
